
About DEVA/hack
The aim of the Digital Entrepreneurs and Video Artists Hackathon (DEVA/hack) is to create an employability resource for young people designed to support them develop and articulate their professional career identity. By engaging in the process of creating a video portfolio, learners will gain knowledge and understanding of soft skills, awareness and insight into job readiness and develop their confidence and motivation to pursue digital and creative careers.
DEVA/hack is run by IN4.0 Group, with aspirations emanating from a desire to creatively disrupt the developing skills agenda, beyond the confines of STEM classification, ensuring it keeps pace with digital and technological innovations.
Events and workshops to be mapped to curriculum.
Include a visit to the University of Salford and record the video portfolio at HOST Salford.
Provide inspirational workshops that are led by DEVA/hack mentors.
Help learners to create content and build their confidence.
Give learners knowledge of digital production and editing tools.
Facilitate employer engagements.
To help learners use the video portfolio produced to secure a work placement.
Inspire and ignite an entrepreneurial mind-set.
